Doctor Xavier Iriart

Doctor Xavier Iriart is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in paediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging. He has been working at the university hospital of Bordeaux since 2005. Doctor Iriart is currently the lead of non invasive imaging in the department of paediatric and adult congenital heart disease at the university hospital of Bordeaux, France. He trained as a adult and paediatric cardiologist in Bordeaux and London. Since 2010, he has specialised in multimodality imaging focused on paediatric and adult congenital heart disease and contributed to establishing the echocardiography laboratory dedicated to fetal, paediatric and adult congenital heart disease in Bordeaux. He is also specialised in multimodality imaging for complex structural intervention such as left atrial appendage closure and paravalvular leak closure including transoesophagial echocardiography, intracardiac echocardiography, computed tomography and 3D printing.
