He qualified in Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and trained in Cardiology at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre, Athens, St Thomas’ Hospital, London, the Heart Hospital in London and in Maria Cecilia Hospital Cotignola Italy. He is Professor of Cardiology in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Director of 2nd Cardiology Department, Hippokrateion General Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece He has a particular interest in cardiac rhythm disorders, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, catheter ablation techniques and implantable devices for rhythm control. He appears in 98 papers in peer reviewed journals and on more than 300 abstracts. He has composed 5 chapters in the official book of Internal Medicine for Medical student and 1 chapter in the book of lung diseases. He has been elected president of Hellenic working group of Pacing and Electrophysiology for the period 2020-22.
