Masanari Kuwabara is currently a Chief Physician of Department of Cardiology in Toranomon Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Tottori University Medical School and received M.D. in 2007. He also received Ph.D. (Regenerative Medicine) from Tottori University Graduate School of Medical Science (Prof. Ichiro Hisatome) in 2014 and Ph.D. (Medicine, Epidemiology) from Jichi Medical University (Prof. Yosikazu Nakamura) in 2017. He finished postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver (Prof. Richard J. Johnson) in 2018. His expertise is in the field of cardiovascular prevention, especially uric acid and cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, kidney diseases, and heart failure. He has received more than 20 awards from various academic societies and published more than 120 articles.
