Professor Felicita Andreotti

Felicita Andreotti is a consultant cardiologist, aggregated professor and nationally-certified full professor at the Catholic University-Gemelli Hospital in Rome, Italy. Previously she was lecturer and senior registrar at the University of London (UK), after earning an MD, two specialties and two PhDs, and receiving a multilingual early education in Italy, the US, Brazil and France. Her research - funded by British and Dutch Heart Foundations, the EU and Italian Ministries - focuses on thrombosis, ischaemic syndromes and heart failure. Contributions to the ESC include authoring >20 guidelines or position papers, collaborating with the Scientific Programme-, Press-, and Global Scientific-committees, chairing the working group on Thrombosis, co-chairing the 2024 guideline on chronic coronary syndromes, and deputy editing the Eur Heart J. Her 2024 H-index is 70, based on 327 publications that include Lancet, NEJM and JAMA. She likes to bike, hike, swim and play chamber music.
