Cardiologist practicing in a large University Hospital in the city of Rio de Janeiro. I have Post-Doctoral in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and Master and Doctoral Degrees in biomedical engineering. I have been attending physician and cardiologist at the Military Fire Department Central Hospital and at Pedro Ernesto University Hospital for over thirty years. I also dedicate my time to research on noninvasive electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease, with focus on arrhythmia risk stratification, vascular mechanics and genetics in systemic hypertension. In cooperation with National Institute of Cardiology and former Universidade Gama Filho fellows, I have led a team of researchers and physicians in strategic research projects for Brazilian Unified Health System. Additionally, I had held the position of Director of Cardiology Board at Rio de Janeiro Military Fire Department Health Service until 2012. Currently, I hold the position of Clinical Staff Service Director at University.
