Professor Cowie is Professor of Cardiology at Imperial College London, and a Non-Executive Director of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in England. He leads the heart failure service at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, and has a strong research interest in diagnostics, devices and drugs, and new models of care.
