He is Past President of the WG Hypertension and Heart of the ESC, Council member of the ESH, Past President of the Hellenic Society of Hypertension and Treasurer of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology. He has been involved in the Task Force of the ESC guidelines and the Joint ESC/ESH Guidelines for Hypertension. He has published more than 250 original papers in peer reviewed Journals, and 30 chapter in books. He is Associate Editor of the European Journal of Internal Medicine, and reviewer in many Journals
