Tom Quinn is a CCU nurse with almost 4 decades experience in cardiovascular care, from experience at the bedside in the CCU, prehospital care in Emergency Medical Services and in Government policy and latterly undertaking research in cardiac arrest and acute cardiovascular care in a UK University. He has published extensively, including studies funded by the British Heart Foundation and the National Institute for Health Research. Quinn has been FESC since 1995. He Chaired the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Nursing in the 1990s (precursor to CCNAP and ACNAP), was Nucleus member of the Working Group on Acute Cardiovascular Care and subsequently founding Board member of ACCA (now ACVC). He is in his second term as an elected ACVC Board member and is chair of the Advocacy Section. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology. In 2019 he was elected Honorary Fellow of the College of Paramedics.
