Dr Ping-Yen Liu is the Director and a Professor of Medicine and Institute of Clinical Medicine, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. He is also a professor of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, in the NCKU Hospital. He is currently the dupty editor of the Acta Cardiologica Sinica (ACS, Impact factor 2.1 in 2020 JCR), the official Journal of Taiwan Society of Cardiology since 2012. He also co-chairs the Committee of International Affairs in the Taiwan Society of Cardiology since 2018. Dr Liu’s research work focused on the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease, with an emphasis on dyslipidemia, thrombosis and hemostasis, platelet function, rho kinase activity, etc. Dr. Liu has published 170 peer reviewed research papers and has an h-index of 27. He actively supervises 20+ doctoral students and graduate students and clinical researchers in NCKU.
