Doctor Sergio Andres Uribe

Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, Santiago (Chile)

Dr. Uribe received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2005. Immediately, he went to the UK to complete his academic background, obtaining a PhD in the Division of Imaging Sciences, School of Medicine at King’s College London. During his PhD, he held a technological transfer, integrating part of his doctoral thesis into the Philips commercial software. After his doctorate in 2009, he returned to Chile to work as an assistant professor in at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Sergio is today an associated profesor in the Radiology Department and the Director of the Biomedical Imaging Center at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. His main areas of interest are biomedical imaging and biomedical engineering, particularly cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging.
